Do you feel like you’re performing a role that you didn’t sign up for, have trouble falling asleep or focusing on tasks, or feel overwhelmed more often than not? Reaching out for support can be tough, especially if you come from a community that stigmatizes mental health. I work with clients in AAPI/ BIPOC/ immigrant communities to identify their values and to create a balance between cultural traditions and daily life in the West. Together, we can cultivate a space where you can feel seen and heard and bring in the parts of you that may have been silenced or rejected.
I take a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, multicultural, and integrative approach and welcome adults and couples seeking to enhance their relationships with themselves and others. I welcome a collaborative space in which we may draw from your spiritual/cultural practices, alongside compassion and humour. I work with trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, and interpersonal issues.
As a 2nd-gen South Asian American of mixed heritage, I am passionate about intergenerational trauma and how the cycles show up in our lives. Together, we can explore what aspects of your life you would like to shift as you start to gain a sense of empowerment within.
